Music Albums are the products of artistic expression and this can be recorded either on tape or on a disc. The music industry is huge and includes many genres. The term music album covers any musical composition that has been recorded and is available for sale. Music albums cover all spectrums of musical genre and can include rock and jazz, pop, classical, or hip hop and r&b. A music album contains the complete works of the artist, who are usually signed as the performer or as the principal artist.
As opposed to the traditional vinyl record and the cassettes: there is the CD or the Compact Disc. Though the CD does not have the master recording option like the original vinyl records, it does have a digital recording option. Unlike the music albums, the compact disc does not contain the master recording option unlike the DVD which is also based on a master recording. There are two versions of compact disks, compact disc surface and compact disk inner. The inner version is made of more paper than the surface one. The major difference between the two versions is that the CD has a storage space of about two hundred MB and the CD inside has a storage capacity of only eighty MB.
Both the albums can be played on any modern stereo or receiver. The main article used in creating these albums is the CD burner. The first generation of computers have a CD burner, which is similar to the laser printer cartridge. There are variants of this, the integrated drive (CD drive) and the external drive. The CD burner was the first to use the CD format.
Although there are some minor: differences between the CD and the music album, the major aspects of the two versions are virtually identical. The major difference between the CDs and the music albums is that the music album contains all the tracks in the album and the CD contains only the tracks that were already burned onto the hard drive. This form of recording makes the production of the music album faster than the recording of the same songs on the Compact Disk.
Music albums can also be produced as singles: double albums, as sets of three, five or seven songs and even in a CD single. The most common form of this is the seven-inch album, in which there is a front cover, a back cover and also an insert containing three pages of lyrics and credits. Sometimes, a double album is produced, consisting of a front and a back cover. The double album is generally of a bigger scale than the single album.
The term photo album: can also be used for Music Albums and these albums contain photographs in the cover, inside the album and also on the inside pages. The covers of the Audio recordings are printed on paper, while that of the visual components are mainly printed on plastic or on vinyl. The term printed booklet means the music album which contains the text as well as the pictures printed on paper. A printed record is a copy of the album which has been directly pressed on a disk without having any ink used on it.
Such albums have a glossy finish and normally do not include the words.
